The Ultimate classic comedy collection

An instant collection!

Sgt Bilko (The Phil Silvers Show)

Sgt. Bilko is the ultimate con man running many crazy schemes in an attempt to make money. He runs the motor pool at a small Kansas US Army Camp. Colonel Hall, nominally in charge of the base tries to keep Bilko's plans in check. Bilko runs every money making scheme that he thinks he can pull off. Midnight cruises on Landing Craft, Tank Rides, Poker games, and an interesting deal with local service stations for spare parts for jeep tires. There were 143 episodes of the Sgt Bilko Series but some are in very bad condition. On this Sgt Bilko DVD 21 of the best episodes have been remastered. Check here for Bilko details.

Monty Python.

Monty Python and the flying circus is the collective name of the six creators of Monty Python's Flying Circus, a British television comedy sketch show that first aired on the BBC on 5 October 1969. A total of 45 episodes were made over four series (seasons) which can all be bought on this Monty Python DVD. Fans of Monty Python should check the BBC Monty Python page site for more details.

Buster Keaton.

Buster Keaton was an award-winning American comic actor and filmmaker. Best known for his brilliant silent films, his trademark was physical comedy with a deadpan expression on his face, earning him the nickname "The Great Stone Face" (referencing the Nathaniel Hawthorne story about the "Old Man of the Mountain").[citation needed] He has also been called "The Michelangelo of Silent Comedy". Just released is this Buster Keaton DVD set or check out the Buster Keaton site.

The Office.

The Office is a British television comedy that first aired in the UK on BBC Two on 9 July 2001 starring Ricky Gervais and is an all time classic. It may be abit modern to be called a classic, but I recon in years to come this will rank along side the likes of Only Fools and Horses.

Created, written, and directed by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, the programme is about the day-to-day lives of office employees in the Slough, Berkshire branch of the fictitious Wernham-Hogg Paper Company. The Office ran for 2 series with some Christmas specials. The whole lot can be bought on this The Office DVD. Although fictional and scripted, the programme takes the form of a documentary (a fictional documentary, i.e. a mockumentary), with the presence of the camera often acknowledged. Check the BBC for more details here.

Soon we will be opening a sci-fi section to this site where we will have dvds like this Battlestar Galactica DVD set amongst others.
